The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is a wonderful charity whose tireless work is actively increasing the safety and rights of members of alternative subcultures. They're achieving this by working in conjunction with politicians and police forces across the UK to record abuse towards people of alternative subculture as hate crime. In addition to this, they run groupworks and training in schools, colleges and prisons to increase education about subcultures and the related prejudices and hatred often experienced.
